TCL TV+ is a service offered by TCL Research America, Inc.TCL Research America, Inc., and our affiliates (“TCL” “we” “us” or “our”), does its very best to protect your privacy when you use our services. This Policy tells you everything you need to know about the information we collect from you, how we use that information, who we share the information with, and how we obtain parent’s permission, when required, to collect, use, and share your information. This policy covers information collected from users of the TCL TV+ applications, TCL TV+ website, mobile app, or any other platform or product(“TCL TV+”), and any other related services (together, the “Services”).

In this policy we use the term “Personal Information.” That term means any information that could be used to identify you or describe you. This information includes your name, address, date of birth, and even your mobile devices, tablets, and computers.

We collect Personal Information about you from various sources, directly and indirectly, including from the following:

Directly or indirectly from you: Most of the Personal Information we collect comes from you. This is either information you provide to us directly, such as your name and email address, or indirectly, such as when you use our Services.

Business partners: We may receive Personal Information from third-party business partners (such as our business partners) related to your use of the Services. The Services may also permit you to log-in and connect to the Services with your social media account username and password (such as your Facebook credentials), and we may collect profile information about you from that social media website that you have made publicly available.

Automatically through the Services: Like many app providers, when you access and use our Services, we use cookies, log data, and similar technology to automatically record personal identifiers (such as your IP address and device identifiers), information about your device (such as your browser type, locale preferences, and mobile carrier) and information concerning your usage activity on the Services (such as your interaction with our Services or the content and advertising displayed on them and our content).

We collect and use Personal Information for the following purposes:

Provide, maintain, and improve our Services: If you would like to our Services, we will collect the information required to offer the Services to you. This may include your email address, date of birth, nickname, IP Address, and device information. In addition to utilizing this information to provide the Services, we may use this information to analyze and improve our Services. We also collect information about your use of our Services and use that information to improve our Services.

Provide customer support: To respond to your requests and improve our Services for you. Information you provide helps us respond to your questions and requests more efficiently.

Communicate with you: We may use your provided email address to send you information and updates or to respond to your inquiries, questions, and/or other requests. If you subscribe to our email communications, we might provide you with information about special promotions, offers, new features, new services, or our newsletter. Provide personalized ads and content recommendations: We use your personal information to provide you with recommendation or products we think you may be interested in.

Research and analytics: We use personal information we collect to better understand our customers and users and your use of the Services.

Comply with legal and regulatory obligations We may use information we have collected to enforce our Terms of Use, prevent or respond to fraud, and fulfill legal obligations.

The below chart provides the categories of Personal Information we collect and the business or commercial purpose(s) for collection. We retain this information for as long as necessary to complete the purpose, unless otherwise instructed by consumer, or unless otherwise disclosed at the time of collection. 2. Additional Information About our Data Collection and Sharing Practices

Retention. We only keep information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected and as permitted or required by law, such as to comply with recordkeeping and other legal obligations. There may also be residual information that will remain within our backup files, databases, and other records, which will not be removed or changed, except in accordance with retention policies, or as otherwise required under applicable privacy laws.

Aggregate and De-identified Data. We may de-identify information and create anonymous and aggregated data sets and reports to assess, improve and develop our business, products and Services, prepare benchmarking reports on our industry and for other research, marketing and analytics purposes. In other words, we may do everything described above, except the information is fixed in a way that it cannot be traced back to you. This data is not Personal Information.

Sharing of Aggregated Data. We may analyze aggregated, de-identified data in accordance with the applicable data protection laws and share these analyses at our discretion, including with marketing agencies, media agencies, and analytics providers. These other companies will not be able to relate this data to identifiable individuals.

Combination of Information. We may combine information from the Services together and with other information we obtain from our business records.

Change of Ownership or Corporate Organization. We may transfer to another entity or its affiliates or service providers some or all information about you in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, acquisition, sale of assets or any line of business, change in ownership control, or financing transaction.

Note that we use third-party advertising services to serve ads when you visit our Services, third-party email services to send informational and marketing email, and third-party analytics services to help us understand and improve the usage of our Services and the effectiveness of our marketing efforts. 4. Do-Not-Track Signals

Currently, various Internet browsers offer a “Do-Not-Track” option. Because the providers of Do-Not-Track and similar signals do not yet operate according to common, industry-accepted standards, we currently do not respond to those signals. 5. Global Privacy Signal

We receive and process Global Privacy Signals (“GPC Signal”) for requests to opt-out of sale or sharing. We process the commonly used and industry standard GPC Signals but because this is new technology and new providers may offer solutions, we will do our best to recognize, process, and honor a GPC Signal that meets the legal standards and is widely adopted in the industry.

6. Links

The Services may contain links to other websites, and other websites may link to the Services. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other websites. Whenever you visit another website – via a link from the Services or otherwise – you should review the privacy policy of that other website. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information provided or obtained on our Services.

7. Children

The Services covered by this privacy policy are generally not intended for use by children under 13. You must be at least 18 years of age or older to use the Service. Children may only use the Service with the consent, supervision and approval of a parent or legal guardian.

Users Under 18

Users under the age of 18 may use the services with the permission and consent of their parent or legal guardian. Those users will have a slightly modified functionality of the Services. Specifically, for users under 18, we will by default turn off any ad personalization or profiling functions. All data for users under 18 will be collected and used only for internal data analysis purposes.

9. Third Parties

We have partnered with our business partners and other third party entities to provide the services to you, including content providers that provide the content you watch on TCL TV+. Please note, that when you are engaging with third party services connected to our Services, both we, and the third party, may collect your Personal Information. For more information on how the third parties collect and use your data, please see their privacy policies. The third parties we work with and their privacy policies can be found here.

We partner with Inworld to provide the IDEO function. Your personal data will also be collected and processed by Inworld according to their Privacy Policy (https://inworld.ai/privacy). Also, when you use the IDEO function, your voice data will be processed by Google. Your data will be directly transferred to Google. Please refer to Google privacy notices(https://policies.google.com/privacy) for information on further processing of your personal data.

10. Your Privacy Rights

We care about your privacy and respect your privacy choice. You have the below listed rights with regard to the Personal Information we have collected about you.

Right to Know

You have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your Personal Information, including to specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected about you, the source of that information, the purposes for which we collect it, and the third parties and service providers with whom we share it. This information is disclosed in the “Information We Collect” Section of this Privacy Policy. If you would like to submit a Request to Know, you may submit such a request as described below. To protect our customers’ Personal Information, we are required to verify your identify before we can act on your request.

Right to Access/Portability

You have the right to request that we provide a copy of the Personal Information we have collected about you, in a portable and, to the extent technically feasible, readily usable format that allows you to transmit the data to another entity without hindrance. If you would like to submit a Request to Access/Portability, you may submit such a request as described below. Once we receive your request and confirm your identity, we will provide to you a copy of your data as required under the applicable data protection laws. We may provide this data to you through your user account with us, or via email to the email address you have provided with your request.

Right to Delete

Subject to certain exceptions, you have the right to request that we delete any of your Personal Information. If you would like to submit a Request to Delete, you may submit such a request as described below. Once we receive your request and confirm your identity, we will review your request to see if an exception allowing us to retain the information applies. We will delete or deidentify Personal Information not subject to one of these exceptions from our records and will direct our service providers to take similar action.

Right to Correct

Subject to certain exceptions, you have the right to request that we correct inaccurate Personal Information that we have collected about you. If you would like to submit a Request to Correct, you may submit such a request as described below. Once we receive your request and confirm your identity, we will review your request, taking into account the nature of the Personal Information and the purposes of the processing of the Personal Information to see if we can correct the data and will direct our service providers to take similar action. We may also request additional information showing that the information you want to correct is inaccurate.

Sensitive Personal Information

Our Services do not request Sensitive Personal Information and we do not offer the ability to limit the use or disclosure of such information. Please do not submit Sensitive Personal Information to our Services. In case we collect any Sensitive Personal Information, we do not process Sensitive Personal Information for the purpose of inferring characteristics and we only use this information for the purpose for which it was collected.

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your data privacy rights.

How to Submit a Request

We will endeavor to respond to your request within the required time frame. If we require more time, we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing. Please note that additional information may be requested from you to confirm your identity. This is to ensure that your Personal Information is not disclosed to a person who does not have a right to receive it. We will only use Personal Information you provide in connection with your request to review and comply with your request.

Verification Procedures

In order to process your request to exercise your rights, we must first verify it. We do this by asking you to:

• Provide personal identifiers we can match against information we may have collected from you previously; and
• Confirm your request using the email and/or telephone account stated in the request;

We will not require you to create an account with us, solely for the purpose of exercising your rights under the data protection laws.

Authorized Agents

You may use an authorized agent to make privacy rights requests on your behalf. We require the authorized agent to provide us with proof of their authorization to submit a request on your behalf. An authorized agent must follow the process described above to make a request, and we will additionally require the authorized agent to verify his/her own identity before processing the request.

11. Additional Information for California Residents

California residents have some additional rights required under the applicable law. Please note, the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) includes some specific definitions, including:

• “Sale” means renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating orally, in writing, or by electronic or other means, a consumer’s Personal Information by the business to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration.
• “Share” means sharing, renting, releasing, disclosing, disseminating, making available, transferring, or otherwise communicating orally, in writing, or by electronic or other means, a consumer’s personal information by the business to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising, whether or not for monetary or other valuable consideration, including transactions between a business and a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising for the benefit of a business in which no money is exchanged.

Right to Opt-out Sale or Sharing

California residents have the right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of your Personal Information. We use your Personal Information for the purposes described in the “Information We Collect” section above, some of which may be considered to be a “sale” or “sharing” under California’s privacy laws and you may have the right to request to opt-out of such data uses. To exercise this right, please You can select “Limit Ad Tracking” or “Do Not Sell or Share My Information” in the settings of menu in TCL TV+ to opt out in settings or You can review the device’s system settings and select the option that may allow you to “Limit Ad Tracking”, disable “Interested-based Ads”, or equivalent settings on your devices. to send this signal when you visit our Services.

Shine the Light

California residents also have the right to ask us one time each year if we have shared personal information with third parties for their direct marketing purposes. To make a request, please send us an email, call, or submit a request using one of the methods listed below. Indicate in your email that you are a California resident making a “Shine the Light” inquiry.

Right to Appeal

If you make a request to exercise any of the above data access rights and we are unable to comply with your request, you may request to appeal our decision. 13. Special Information for Nevada Residents

Residents of the State of Nevada have the right to opt out of the sale of certain pieces of their information to other companies who will sell or license their information to others. We do not engage in this kind of “sale” of information, as defined in Nevada.

14. Notification of Changes to Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy. Whenever we decide to change this Privacy Policy in a material manner, notice of the change will be posted on the Services for a reasonable period of time or provided to you using other means. Nevertheless, you should review the Privacy Policy from time to time to be sure you are aware of the most recent version. Please be assured that we will only use information in accordance with the Privacy Policy in effect at the time the information was collected, unless we receive your consent.

15. CARU COPPA Safe Harbor

This privacy policy and the CARU icon shown on our website confirm that TCL Research America, Inc. d/b/a TCL TV+ is a valid licensee and participating member in the CARU COPPA Safe Harbor Program (“CARU Safe Harbor”). To protect your privacy, we have voluntarily undertaken this privacy initiative. CARU has reviewed and certified that we meet established online information collection and use practices on the TCL TV+ and all TCL TV+ properties where this privacy policy is posted.

As part of the CARU COPPA Safe Harbor, we are subject to audits and frequent monitoring of our websites and/or apps and other enforcement and accountability mechanisms administered independently by CARU.
